Healthy Backbends with Luci Yamamoto

Event Description

Backbending requires flexibility, strength, and a dash of courage.  In this workshop, we will explore proper alignment for safe spinal extension. After thoroughly warming up, we will work toward a variety of backbends, including Dhanurasana and Urdhva Dhanurasana. These powerful chest-openers boost not only strength and flexibility, but also mood and happiness. A tonic for body and mind! (Participants should have at least six months of yoga experience and no major injuries.)
